Technical specifications
The Avtron M6 is a heavy/mill-duty incremental rotary encoder designed for hazardous locations (ATEX Zone 1) and severe industrial environments. Using magnetic sensing and a solid-metal rotor, it withstands shock, vibration and contamination far better than optical encoders. M6 models are available in hollow-shaft (1″ to 1-1/8″ bores) and solid-shaft versions, with quadrature A/B and index Z outputs, and multiple line-driver voltage options. Typical applications include oil & gas, drilling, steel mills, mining and other harsh-duty drives.
